About CourseLegend

CourseLegend is a curated education hub for finding useful learning material without being tied to one provider, platform or curriculum.

The idea

The web already contains excellent courses, university material, books, documentation, lectures, tools and practice systems. The problem is discovering the useful parts and understanding how they fit together.

CourseLegend organizes that material in several directions:

• Fields — subjects, disciplines, skills and occupations.
• Resource types — courses, books, websites, YouTube/lectures, tools, institutions and useful collections.
• Collections — deliberate combinations for a topic or learning goal.
• Wiki — explanations and context maintained inside CourseLegend.

Curation

The library is intentionally selective. A link is useful when the source is trustworthy, relevant, accessible enough for its intended audience, and worth keeping.

CourseLegend prefers direct sources, durable material and concise descriptions over copied catalogs, SEO pages and large amounts of weak links.

Ownership

External resources remain owned and maintained by their original authors, institutions or providers. CourseLegend is a discovery and curation layer.

Current scope

The site is being built as a broad education index covering academic subjects, technical disciplines, practical skills, creative work, business, health and occupations. The structure is designed to grow without turning every resource into a separate page.
